PURPOSE:To make it possible to output recording data different in a mode and inputted at a high speed in an accurate form, by controlling conversion such as data reversal or data replacement at every bit corresponding to the arrangement mode of input data. CONSTITUTION:A recording apparatus 101 is connected to a host system 100 by a data line and the data from the host system 100 is inputted to an interface part 111 for performing series-parallel conversion, level conversion or protocol control. The output data line of the interface part 111 is connected to a control microprocessor 110 and a recording head controller 112 while the recording head controller 112 converts recording data expressing inputted logical bit image to drive data correspinding to the physical arrangment, mainly, to the driving current supply time of a recording head lement 114. By this method, the conversion of a recording data line is performed to make it possible to perform the easy correspondence to plural input data modes or plural data modes of the control microprocessor. |
