Motor vehicle lamp with distributed light flux via optical fibres

A lamp for a car is provided with a bulb (7) and several optical fibres (9) each with a coupling end near the bulb so that light is supplied at their other ends. The fibres and the bulb are all in a common housing (1). The housing has a transparent front wall (2) with an oblong shape. The side walls are also transparent. One side wall has a connecting socket for the bulb. The bulb is surrounded by a heat shield (8). The optical fibres are mirrored on their outside and their light delivery ends are designed as lenses. They are located in parabolic reflectors (14) that sit in a plane behind the front wall to give a uniform light distribution.
