A method and apparatus for the continuous production of green ware articles, e.g. lavatory pans (20), from slip are disclosed. Plaster of paris moulds (10) at least partially reinforced with acrylic, fibreglass, polypropylene or carbon fibres pass through first and second microwave drying ovens (8, 16) on a conveyor system (2). In the first oven (8) a green ware article contained in each mould (10) is at least partially dried. In the second oven (16) the empty re-assembled mould (10) is dried prior to being refilled with slip. Also disclosed are a method of fabricating the reinforced moulds and a self-centering clamping cradle with opposed arms hinged at the base, and a releasable latch, for transporting and holding the mould. The cradle is tiltable.
