<p>An infrared absorber comprising a composite hydroxide salt represented by the formula: {Al2Li(1-x).M2+(x+y)(OH)(6+2y)}n(An-)(1+x).mH2O (wherein M2+ represents a divalent metal; An- represents an n-valent anion; and m, x, and y are respectively 0≤m < 5, 0.01≤x≤0.5, and 0≤y≤0.5) as the active ingredient. This absorber has a high infrared absorption capacity and a refractive index close to those of resins and hence, when incorporated into resins, has a good dispersibility and, when formed into a film, it can provide a film which exhibits excellent heat retention, transparency and other properties and hence is suitable for an agricultural film.</p> |
