A push-fit coupling links esp. a hose to a pipe from esp. an automotive radiator. The fitting incorporates an integrated drainage outlet which is protected by a two-part push-fit shut-off valve. The two-part push-fit shut-off valve is activated by axially pushing the first part of the connector into the second part, using a differential action.
