End cap for vibration damper

The end cap for a vibration damper (1) of a vehicle fits on a cylinder in which a piston rod can move axially. A tubular sector of the end cap is pushed onto the output end of the cylinder. A stop surface of the end cap acts as a stop for an auxiliary spring. An annular wall of more than one layer extends axially along the damper between the tubular sector and the stop surface (13). The annular wall may have two layers, with the facing surfaces of these layers against each other. The annular wall can act as a guide for the auxiliary spring (11).
