The package (1) has upwardly foldable flaps (19) which can be glued together. Parallel to at least one vertically extending face (6) of the sidewall is a strip (15). A half (21) of the strip is glued to the sidewall. The other half (22) lies at least partially against a second sidewall. The length of the strip is smaller than the exterior height of the sidewall (1a) and greater than or the same as the exterior height of the sidewall deducting the double thickness of the cardboard (3). Both halves extend parallel to the sidewall.
