发明名称 Real time measurement of flow in watercourse
摘要 The height and rate of flow in a watercourse (1) are measured in real time. Water height is measured by a linear array of sensors (6) contained in an emplacement (3) which is located at the side of the bank (2) and has a movable cover (5). The sensors (6) consist of pairs of electrodes energised at low voltage with visual indication of current by an ammeter or lamp and a device for recording operation (14). The water flow rate is measured by a paddle wheel in a suitably shaped and orientated casing (7). The wheel turns a disc which operates an optical sensor connected to the recording device.
