A cutting knife works together with an anvil by means of a wedge-shaped cutter. The cutting knife or the anvil is connected with an ultrasonic transmitter. The cutting knife varies in cross section along the length of the cutter. The cutting knife and/or the anvil are/is adjustable in such a way that, in each case, the cross section of the cutting knife which is suitable for a determined thickness of the textile web is used. |
