Cellular radio transmission system for information between an infrastructure and mobiles

The system has an infrastructure formed from a number of fixed transceivers (E1,E'1) which cover a number of successive cells. The transceivers are spaced along a tunnel length. The transmitters of two successive stations are synchronised, allowing transmission of multiplexed orthogonal frequency coded data to ensure tolerance to multiple reflection paths in the tunnel. The transmitters can use DS-SS for data transmission.
