A pipe fitting that allows the systematic interception and removal of solid matter from within storm drainage systems. Its topside has an opening near each end. When the pipe fitting is installed horizontally at a slope, water that enters at one end runs out the other end. A protrusion externally situated adjacent to each topside opening and another protrusion internally situated on the base-side of the pipe wall opposite each topside opening allow a tongue made of flexible material with a hole at each end to be attached thereto. As water bearing solid matter enters the system, the tongue intercepts the solid matter while permitting the water to pass. The pressure of heavy water flow forces the solid matter out through the topside opening. The diameter of the pipe fitting around each topside opening is larger than the diameter of the surrounding pipe fitting so as to prevent water from rushing out the topside openings but without disrupting the rate of flow. This bulge or belly does not accumulate water, since the slope causes the water to systematically flow out. Detaching the tongue permits entry into the system by a human hand or tool in order to remove blockages without the need to disassemble the system components or to enter through the mouth of the drain situated in the roof gutter. Despite the ready availability of an entryway into the system as provided by the practice of this invention, the possibility of water leakage is minimal or none.
