Speed measuring method according to the laser-doppler principle

The method involves splitting the beam from a laser into two in a beam divider (14) , the two beams (24,26) intersecting in or on the measurement object (28). The spectral maximum of the intensity modulation of the reflected light is measured using an optical receiver. A Koster prism is used as the beam divider so that the partial beams resulting from the beam division impinge on the measurement object at the desired angle.
