The unit has a housing (1) with a slot (3) at one end to allow insertion of a card (2) When the card is inserted, it rests on a plate (4) mounted on a pivot (4'). A drive roller (5) above the surface of the plate displaces the card along the plate. The drive roller moves the card inward until its edge touches the surface of a guide roller (6) inside the housing. As the card is drawn further in, it tilts upward as it proceeds under the drive roller, tilting the card and the plate. A lip (7) positioned under the lower edge of the plate then rises to close the card entry slot. |
