Arrangement of an electronic accelerator pedal for motor vehicle

The arrangement has a pedal pivoted from a support fixed (3) to the floor (5) or dashboard (4) of the vehicle. The pedal pivots about a transverse axis (2), displacing a finger (10) which drives a position transducer (8) coupled to the electronic computer that controls the engine of the motor vehicle. The pedal is arranged so that when it is fully depressed the engine gives maximum power, with the transducer and the drive finger carried by a unit (7) which is pivoted from the support. Its angular position can be set by rotation about the pivot, using a combined adjuster and locking mechanism (15).
