PURPOSE:To make it possible not only to alter the diameter of a printing dot correspondingly to a printing mode but also to enhance the density of a printing image or printing grade, by setting the bias temp. of a recording head on the basis of the printing mode and altering the bias temp. correspondingly to said printing mode. CONSTITUTION:The bias temp. of a recording head 6 is set on the basis of a printing mode and controlled by set reference temp. This reference temp. can be set at every printing mode by changing the operation of the switch provided to a control part (CPU)20 or the temp. setting command of a host computer by the option of a user. The temp. detector 7 and a heater 8 provided to a head unit 24 are connected to CPU20 and the bias temp. of the recording head 6 is controlled on the basis of the reference temp. set in a setting table 26. By this method, the diameter of a printing dot can be altered correspondingly to the printing mode and the selection of the density of a printing image or the enhancement of printing grade can be attained. |
