PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for adjusting head-driving voltage at the time of the mounting or replacement of a recording head and to easily obtain inherent proper ink-emitting voltage, by providing binary data for setting voltage to the recording head and applying D/A conversion to said data in a power source part to adjust not only reference voltage but also head-driving voltage. CONSTITUTION:A binary data means 29 for setting voltage is provided to a recording head 6 and connected to the D/A converter 30 provided to a power source part. This D/A converter 30 is connected so as to adjust the reference voltage V(R) of a power source circuit 26 on the basis of binary data (bit signal) for setting voltage and, by changing the reference voltage V(R), the output [head driving voltage V(H)] of the power source circuit 26 is adjusted. Because voltage (head driving voltage) applied at every recording head correspondingly to the irregularity of an ink emitting port 10 can be set to the recording head 6, it becomes unnecessary to adjust the ink-emitting voltage at the time of the mounting or replacement of the recording head, and labor for service or maintenance can be reduced to a large extent. |
