发明名称 BINDER FOR THERMAL RECORDING PAPER
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance water resistance of a recording layer and enable recording sensitivity to be enhanced and clearness of visible images to be enhanced, by constituting the titled binder of a high molecular weight material emulsion composition obtained by emulsion polymerization of an unsaturated monomer using a betaine ester as an emulsifier. CONSTITUTION:In the preparation of a high molecular weight material emulsion composition to be used as a binder for a thermal recording paper, the amount of a betaine ester used for emulsion polymerization of an unsaturated monomer is suitably about 0.1-15wt% based on the amount of the unsaturated monomer to be polymerized. The mixing ratio, by weight, of the binder resin component to a thermal recording material comprising a color former, a color developer and a filler is suitably 0.05/10-0.5/10. By using the high molecular weight material emulsion as the binder for the thermal recording paper, the water resistance of a thermal recording layer can be enhanced, and a thermal recording paper having excellent sensitivity and favorable image quality can be obtained.
