PURPOSE:A yarn doubling and twisting spindle, consisting of a spindle for rotatably supporting plural yarn feed packages, a cage attached thereto, roll mounted thereon and guide rolls, etc., and capable of unwinding yarns while giving accurate twist thereto. CONSTITUTION:A yarn (Y) withdrawn from yarn feed packages 9 and 9' are passed along the outer periphery of guide rolls (4d) provided along the outer periphery of a cage 4 and wound one turn around the outer periphery of the cage 4, threaded along a traverse fulcrum rolls 15 and 15', passed through a guide roll 16 and then delivered by a delivery roll 20. In the process, a brake shoe 11 provided on a flange 8 of the cage 4 contacts package holders 5 and 5' to give unwinding resistance. The traversing width is slowly reduced while the unwound yarns (Y) advance along the outer periphery of the cage 4 and the yarns (Y) are doubled through the fulcrum rolls 15 and 15', passed through a guide roll 16 and the deliver roll 20, twisted ad delivered. |
