The invention concerns liquid detergent compositions for solid surfaces having insect repellent properties. These compositions contain less than 2.5 wt.% of ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate (BAAPE) and less than 0.5 wt.% of one or several compounds selected from the group comprising isobornile acetate, D-limonene, lilial, terpineol and terpenile acetate.
