摘要 PURPOSE:To isolate sections among bits electrically, and to form the title element simply at low cost by inserting a plate-shaped organic pigment layer having photoelectric conversion capacity between a first transparent or translucent metallic electrode and a plurality of second metallic electrodes divided at every bit. CONSTITUTION:The title element is constituted of a plurality of lower metallic electrodes (Second metallic electrodes) 5 shaped onto an insulating substrate 9, a pi-conjugated system conductive high molecular layer 6 formed on the electrodes 5 through an electrolytic polymerization method, an organic pigment layer 7 shaped onto the layer 6 to a plate shape, and an upper translucent metallic electrode (first metallic electrode) 8 formed through evaporation. Since the organic pigment layer is used as a layer having a photoelectric conversion function, manufacture is simplified, and the transfer of carriers in the in-plane direction of the film is reduced owing to the high impedance of the organic pigment layer, thus effectively allowing electrical isolation from an adjacent element even when employing the plate-shaped film.
