STEREOSCOPIC PICTURE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic picture system enabling many people to simultaneously view a stereoscopic picture without putting on viewing glasses. SOLUTION: A video camera apparatus and a video projector 3 photograph a subject or project the image of the subject through a vertical belt type electrooptical switch 13-1. The vertical belt type electrooptical switch 13-1 opens and shuts from the right side to the left side or reversely and the opening and closing are repeated about thirty times per second. An image picked up through the vertical belt type electrooptical switch 13-1 is recorded in one corresponding channel of a multichannel video recorder. The signal converter 2 of a video displayer makes the output of the multichannel video recorder the same as the output of a camera. Since a sub-visual region by the vertical belt type electrooptical switch is formed in the visual legion formed by a holographic screen 4-1, observation of the stereoscopic picture is enabled at many points.
