PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air not subjected to dehumidification from entering into a fan room by extending side plates fixed to the opposite sides of a heat- exchanger to the casing body side so that the fan room is closed on the opposite sides and securing the side plates to the casing body. SOLUTION: The heat-exchanger 20 in the indoor unit of an air conditioner is fixed, on the opposite sides thereof, with side plates 30. The side plate 30 integrally comprises a section 32 for fixing the heat-,exchanger 20 having a hole 31 to be fitted with a hairpin tube 22, and a side wall section 33 extending to the casing body 2 side to close the opposite sides of a fan room 8. The side wall section 33 has a fixing rib 34 abutting against the side plate fixing seat 13 of the casing body 2 and secured thereto by means of tap screws 50. This structure prevents the air not subjected to dehumidification from entering into the fan room 8 thus preventing dew formation in the casing body 2 or on the fan. |
