PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality by securing a uniform pressing condition, by constituting the titled mechanism so that two sets of holding members are elastically driven in a direction pressing a thermal head to a platen and one holding member is made revolvable with respect to the thermal head in the vicinity of the resistor of said head. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 8 is fixed to a right-hand holding part 1 and a holding member 2 with screws and the holding member 2 forming a L-shape is connected to a left-hand holding part 3 in a freely revolvable manner with a pin 4. The right-hand holding part 1 and the left-hand holding part 2 are respectively made freely revolvable around revolving fulcrums 1a, 3a with respect to a main body. The pressure contact of the thermal head 8 is performed by revolving the right-hand holding part 1 and the left-hand holding part 2 around the revolving fulcrums 1a, 3a, and the right-hand holding part 1 and the left-hand holding part 2 are pressed in the pressure contact direction at the drive points 1b, 3b thereof through an elastic material. By this method even when a partial contact is naturally generated in a conventional construction, uniform pressure contact force is obtained automatically. |
