PURPOSE:To arrange a film along the surface of a glass plate with a uniform interval from the glass substrate by mutually adhering the glass substrate and the film forming respective transparent electrodes and orientation films on respective surfaces at their peripheral edge parts through a spacer. CONSTITUTION:The glass substrate 14 forming a transparent electrode 15 and an orientation film 16 on its surface and coated with a sealing agent at its peripheral edge excluding a liquid crystal injection part is adhered to the film 11 forming a transparent electrode 12 and an orientation film 13 on its surface through the spacer 17 formed in a gap 19 between the plate 14 and the film 11 while being pressed and then liquid crystal is injected into the gap 19. In the liquid crystal cell constituted by said procedure, the film 11 opposedly arranged along the opposite surface of the glass substrate 14 with the uniform interval from the substrate 14.
