PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in operation of a heat storage type heat exchanger by a method wherein a connected part of heat transfer pipes in a heat storage type heat exchanger may not be immersed in water. SOLUTION: Heat storage medium (w) is stored in a heat storage tank, a heat transfer pipe 2 formed in a serpentine shape in a horizontal direction is immersed in the heat storage medium (w), cooling refrigerant is flowed in the heat transfer pipe, thereby heat exchange is carried out between cooling refrigerant and the heat storage medium (w) so as to perform an icing operation of the heat storage medium (w) and the heat storage medium (w) is melted by the flow of refrigerant for heating in the heat transfer pipe, wherein the end part of the heat transfer pipe 2 is positioned higher than a liquid surface of the heat storage medium (w). |
