PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery, having stable battery performance over a long period and good volume efficiency and provide its manufacture. SOLUTION: A laminated electrode body 6 welded with lead sections 4, 5 to terminals 7a, 7b having output terminals 8a, 8b is stored in a resin frame 10, and the output terminals 8a, 8b are protruded to the outside of the frame 10 from the terminal holes 11a, 11b of the frame 10 to serve as output ends of electricity. The frame 10 is provided with an explosion-proof cleavage valve hole 12 and multiple fixing holes 13 for fixing a battery. Cover members 20a, 20b are closely stuck to both side faces of the frame 10 for sealing the inside of the frame 10. The cover members 20 a, 20b are laminated with a heat fusion resin 21 and a metal foil 22, for example, and the face of the resin 21 is kept in contact with the side face of the frame 10 and is heat-fused. The pressure in the frame 10 is made lower than the atmospheric pressure. |
