PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for continuously making a relatively thick stainless steel strip into a tube. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of welded stainless steel tubes in which a tubular formed body is made by continuously forming the stainless steel strip into a tubular shape, the butting end parts is preheated by high frequency resistance heating or high frequency induction heating, next, the butting end parts are butted by pressurizing the tubular formed body with squeeze rolls, welding is executed by being irradiated with a laser beam along the groove line between the butting end parts which is formed by butting and, after that, solution heat treatment is executed, when the thickness of the stainless steel strip is >=4mm, preheating temp. is taken as 300-600 deg.C. |
