PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a useful composition containing zinc, capable of preventing Zn supernumerary symptom and improving Zn deficiency symptom by combining vitamin B6 s and Zn in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This composition includes zinc gluconate, zinc citrate, zinc sulfate, etc., as a Zn-containing component, and pyridoxine, pyridoxal, etc., as a vitamin B6 s, and an effective daily dose of the vitamin B6 s to an adult is (0.55:1) to (2.2:1), preferably (0.76:1) to (2.2:1) expressed in mol ratio to the dose of the Zn. The composition can be also obtained by blending with other vitamins or other minerals, can reduce the side effect of the Zn caused by the excess ingestion of the Zn without suppressing the physiological effect of the Zn and has a high safety. |
