PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a roller capable of increasing the density of brush fibers in using a fur brush developing method using nonmagnetic one-component toners. SOLUTION: This processing for producing the fur brush developing roller consists in forming an adhesive layer 6 by applying an adhesive on the surface of a core body 5, then flocking the brush fibers 7 constituting the developing brush 8 on the adhesive layer 6. In such a case, plural pieces of the brush fibers 7 are bondably and unbondably constituted by coupling means 9. The brush fiber bundles 7A formed by coupling plural pieces by the coupling means 9 are splashed and thereafter, the brush fiber bundles are flocked to the adhesive layer 6, following which the bonding is released.
