PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a device to make non-pollution treatment of dioxin in ashes. SOLUTION: This non-pollution treating device for ashes includes a reactor 11 which heats the ashes to a prescribed temp. in a gaseous nitrogen atmosphere and hold the ashes for the prescribed period of time to thermally crack the dioxin, an ash cooler 15 which continuously cools the ashes treated by this reactor 11 in the gaseous nitrogen atmosphere, a condenser 22 which is connected between the ash outlet 11e side and ash outlet side 11e of the reactor 11 and removes moisture in the gaseous nitrogen and a vent gas pipe 17 which has a gas discharge pipe 25 for regulating a gaseous pressure. The vent gas pipe 17 between the reactor 11 and the condenser 22 is provided with a gas heater 21 which heats the dioxin in the gaseous nitrogen to a temp. at which the cracking of the dioxin is possible. The device thermally cracks the dioxin entrained in the gaseous nitrogen. |
