PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make data have a format being compatible with data having a preexisting format. SOLUTION: Preexisting SMF(standard MIDI file) data are stored in tacks 1-N and an SMF metaevent in which HMF(hyper media file) data are described with a text is stored in a track N+1. The SMF metaevent is neglected by a reproducing means capable of reproducing only the SMF data and the SMF data are made to be reproduced. An HMF data reproducing means extracts only the HMF data to execute a whitening scrip and obtains a whitened even data list. Next, the reproducing means is made to preform the reproducing by obtaining an event data list in which an arbitrary expression is added while executing an expression adding script.
