<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the operating condition of tape check function to be displayed on a TV screen by providing an on-screen display circuit(OSD) and a mixing circuit. SOLUTION: When performing tape check, a controlling section 2 controls the OSD 12, which generates an image signal composed from characters, 'Under search,' and a figure meaning fast forward to input into the mixing circuit 13. The mixing circuit superposes the image signal generated by the OSD 12 on an outputted TV signal from a switching circuit 8 to output to a TV receiver 11 and always displays the image signal while the magnetic tape 4 is on fast forward. During that time, the control head 5 constantly detects the control signal recorded on the magnetic tape 4 to input to a VISS signal detecting section 6. When a VISS signal is present in the control signal, a mixed signal of the image signal generated by the OSD 12 and the character, 'Reproduction,' is displayed on the TV receiver 11.</p> |
