<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the utilization range of iron scraps for the steel materials which can not conventionally use the iron scraps as raw materials, by efficiently and economically executing the removal of copper accompanied with the iron scrap. SOLUTION: The method for removing the copper in the iron scrap is the one shifting the copper contained in the iron scrap into molten metal by bringing the molten metal consisting essentially of lead into contact with the iron scrap accompanied with the copper as impurity. Successively, the molten metal is brought into contact with the molten alloy containing aluminum to shift the copper in the molten metal to this molten alloy, and the copper in the iron scrap is recovered into the molten alloy containing the aluminum.</p> |
