METHOD FOR TREATING PLASTIC MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce the volume of a plastic molding prepared by molding and curing a resin containing an unsaturated polyester and an addition- polymerizable monomer without forming waste gases by immersing the molding in an aqueous alkali solution and immersing it in a specified compound. SOLUTION: A resin containing an unsaturated polyester obtained by reacting an unsaturated fatty acid with a saturated polybasic acid and a glycol, an addition-polymerizable monomer and optionally an aliphatic polyester resin is cured and molded to obtain a plastic molding. This molding is immersed in a 2-7N aqueous alkali solution heated to at most its boiling point and then immersed in at least one compound selected among ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol and acetone alcohol.
