The portioning-out takes place in three phases. A coarsely portioned quantity of small bodies or loose material is filled from the first supply container (1) by volumetric measurement into auxiliary vessels, preferably tubes (21), and is weighed on the balance (4, 40) for the purpose of fine portioning, the shortage relative to the desired value is thereafter calculated by means of the control unit, and this is supplemented via the topping-up device (6) in pieces where small bodies are concerned and in fine flow where loose material is concerned. The content of the cups having the exactly predetermined quantity is then filled into the packs (81). The bottom (12) of the first supply container has connection pieces (10) serving as measuring cups. The topping-up device (6) consists of the second supply container (61), the bottom (62) of which has an all-round free space which is partially closed by a driving cord (64) and which allows an individual dispensing of the small bodies (99). The apparatus is particularly suitable for the portioning out and filling of pills in an exact quantity into relatively small cans, boxes, cartons or the like, the conveyance of the pills taking place with great care since the pills bottommost in the supply containers (1, 61) and in the tubes (21) are always filled from below. <IMAGE>
