PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately switch the on/off state of illumination for a reticle and further to eliminate the possibility of improper exposure by controlling the on/off state of illuminating light in accordance with the intensity of a detection signal from a photometry means. SOLUTION: An operation signal inputted from an operation member 17, a photometric value detection signal from a photometry device 11 and a detection signal from a human body sensor 16 are respectively inputted in a controller 15 in a control box 18. The controller 15 controls the on/off of an illuminator for illuminating the reticle and the opening/closing of a shutter 12 based on the signals. Such control is repeatedly performed until the power supply of the control box 18 is cut. By controlling the turning on/off of the illuminator for illuminating the reticle based on a photometric value by the device 11, a user is prevented from forgetting to turn on/off the illumination for the reticle at the time of finder observation. |
