PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify functions for respective function blocks in a pipeline computing element where respective function blocks execute arithmetic processings in terms of a pipeline with clocks having prescribed periods. SOLUTION: A diagnosis memory 20 having a format equal to data inputted from the function block 17 in the former stage of the function block and having a loop address is provided. Data is supplied from the diagnosis memory 20, which is different from a regular processing, and only the function block 17 is started. Thus, a simplex test is conducted. During an arithmetic processing, data inputted from the function block of the former stage is stored in the diagnosis memory 20. When an error is detected in input data, error data is substituted for appropriate data in the diagnosis memory 20. |
