PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an image by providing a magnetic pole angle variable member which varies the angle of a magnet opposed to a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:For instance, in case when a net point, a half tone, a fine line, etc. exist in a formed image, a shaft 72a turns in the direction as indicated with an arrow B together with a magnetic pole 72 by turning on a solenoid 73b on a copying machine body, an angle at which a main pole 72c is opposed to a developer adhering part A is varied, the main pole 72c turns upward comparing with a usual time, and the main pole 72c comes not to be opposed to the developer adhering part A of the surface of a photosensitive drum 2. As a result, a tuft rise of a developer formed by the main pole 72c also comes not to be opposed to the developer adhering part A, a contact area to the developer adhering part A becomes low, and a contact pressure also becomes low. Accordingly, a current flowing from a developing roller 7b to the photosensitive drum 2 falls, it does not occur that a developer adheres excessively to the periphery of a net point, a half tone, a fine line, etc., which have been formed on the photosensitive boy 2, and an image of a high quality can be obtained.
