PURPOSE:To obtain a camera which has the same function as a single-lens reflex camera and is made light-weight and small-sized, by forming a photographic optical system with a zoom lens system and forming a finder optical system with a variable magnification finder optical system. CONSTITUTION:Range finding devices 3 and 4, a photographic optical system 1 driven in accordance with distance signals from range finding devices 3 and 4, and a finder optical system 2 consisting of an optical system other than the photographic optical system 1 are provided. In this camera, the photographic optical system 1 consists of the zoom lens system which changes the focal length continuously, and the finder optical system 2 consists of the variable power finder optical system which changes the visual field in accordance with the variance of the focal length of the zoom lens system. These zoom lens system and variable power finder optical system are driven by a single zoom motor 5. Thus, this camera has the same function as an auto-focus single-lens reflex camera provided with a zoom lens though being a lens shutter type camera and is made light-weight and small-sized.
