发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING GAZE POINT POSITION IN IMAGE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain gaze point position information in an image without performing a measuring experiment which requires much labor and a long time by locally calculating the variance value that the image has and detecting the position where the calculated local variance value becomes maximum as a gaze point position. SOLUTION: A block dividing circuit 11 divides an image of one frame into blocks and a variance value calculating circuit 12 calculates variance values of pixels in the respective blocks and stores them in a frame memory 13. A block group segmenting circuit 14 cuts a block group of a rectangular frame out of the blocks and a multiplier 16 multiplies the weighting coefficient of a weighting matrix circuit 15 by the variance values of the respective blocks in the block group. A total value calculating circuit 17 calculates the total value of the output value of the multiplier and stores the result in a memory 18. A decision circuit 20 compares total values by block groups stored in the memory 18 to decide that there is a gaze point position is present in the block group having the largest total value.
