PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple monitoring method in a system unit. SOLUTION: A system feature amount is detected by using a measuring instrument M and the system feature amount is processed in a local evaluation unit LAE and/or a central evaluation unit ZAE. At least a part of the system feature amount and/or at least a part of a processing result detected in the local evaluation unit LAE are transmitted to the central evaluation unit ZAE from a pump P and/or the local evaluation unit LAE. The operation state of the pump P and/or a situation predicted in the pump P are inferred to based on the system feature amount and/or the processing result detected in the local evaluation unit LAE.
