PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording layer having satisfactory absorbing properties of a large quantity of ink, high printing density, small ooze and satisfactory water resistance by specifying ink drying time, reflecting printing density, the ooze and water resistant density retention ratio in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The recording medium is formed so that an ink drying time under the condition that an ink amount is 10 to 50g/m<2> is at most 5min, reflecting printing density is 1.30 or more, ooze is 1mm or less and water resistant density retention ratio is 60% or more. A recording layer 2 provided on the medium, i.e., an ink receiving layer contains water soluble resin, curing agent, cationic substance and particles. The preferable resin is polyurethane resin. The layer 2 may be formed of one or two or more layers. A method for providing the recording layer is not particularly limited, and a normally used method such as a gravure coating type, dipping type, or reverse roll coating type can be applied. |
