PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device for a column automatic transmission, which is easy for working a detent plate even in the case where it is miniaturized and, what is more, it incurs no error of the position of a shift cable. SOLUTION: A select plate 8 being rockable within the plane inclusive of a turning shaft of a shaft 2 by the operation of a select cable 9 is pivotally attached to an end of this shaft 2 being rotated by a shift lever 3. A platelike detent plate 12 vertical to the turning shaft of the shaft 2 is attached to the outside of a retainer 1, and an end 8a of the select plate 8 is engaged with it. In this constitution, there is such an advantage as making the platelike detent plate usable. |
