PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase gene containing a specific amino acid sequence, comprising a gene coding a polypeptide providing a pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase activity and used for production of a gene useful for determination of pyrophosphoric acid, etc. SOLUTION: This new pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase gene contains an amino acid sequence of the formula or the amino acid sequence having added, deleted or substituted one or plural amino acids, comprises a gene coding a polypeptide providing a pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase activity, and is useful for production of pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase catalyzing a reaction forming adenosine5'-triphosphate(ATP) pyruvic acid and phosphoric acid from adenosine5'-monophosphate(AMP), phosphoenolpyruvic acid and pyrophosphoric acid and useful for determination, etc., of pyrophosphoric acid. The gene is obtained from chromosome DNA of Microbispora thermorosea IFO14047. |
