LINE BUS DETECTION METHOD AND DEVICE, LINE BUS PREFERENCE CONTROL METHOD AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely detect a line bus via a land equipment, to detect the delay from the detection information on the line bus and to secure the periodicity of the line bus by the preference control. SOLUTION: A camera 3 uses an image type vehicle sensor to periodically photograph a monitoring area 4 and to fetch the front image of a vehicle. This image includes a destination direction curtain if the vehicle runs on a line bus. A line bus information processing part 10 performs the matching between the gradation pattern of an input image and a destination direction curtain template to search the destination direction curtain out of the image. When the destination direction curtain is detected, a system number is extracted based on the feature value and sent to a traffic controller 2 together with the detection time. A line bus preference control part 20 refers to a time table of each system to calculate the delay time from the detection time of the received system number. If the delay time is larger than the fixed value or the preference is designated to a delay system, the signal of line of the relevant system undergoes the optimum control for recovery of the delay of the relevant bus.
