PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial composition, capable of manifesting excellent antimicrobial actions on a wide range of fungi, bacteria, actinomyces, yeasts, algae, etc., excellent in manifestation and persistence of effects thereof and having high safety by making the composition include specific five kinds of antimicrobial agents as active ingredients therein. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial composition comprises an inorganic metallic antimicrobial agent, a thiazole-based antimicrobial agent, a haloalkylthio-based antimicrobial agent, an imidazole-based antimicrobial agent and a urea-based antimicrobial agent as essential ingredients therein. A zirconium phosphate-based antimicrobial agent is preferred as the inorganic metallic antimicrobial agent and an isothiazolin-3-one compound and a haloalkylthiosulfimide compound are preferred as the thiazole-based antimicrobial agent. A cyclic compound derivative of benzimidazole is preferred as the imidazole-based antimicrobial agent and a halophenyl derivative of dimethylurea is preferred as the urea-based antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial agent preferably comprises the respective ingredients in an amount of 0.06-0.2wt.% based on an object. |
