A hybrid plug connector with modular electrical and light waveguide plug connections includes a tub-shaped pin connector housing and a socket connector housing, which can be plugged into one another in overlapping fashion. At least one socket module having jack contacts arranged in a predetermined grid, as well as at least one light waveguide module, which contains at least one single-mode fiber are insertable into the socket connector housing.
