PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect irregularity in the resiance value of an intermediate transfer belt and to prevent the occurrence of abnormal image such as end void (irregularity in density). SOLUTION: This image forming device transfers a toner image having one color or a plurality of colors, formed on a photoreceptor, onto an endless intermediate transfer belt 19 made of a medium resistance material and stretched round a plurality of rollers, and then transfers the toner image to a transfer body all at once by means of a paper transfer roller. In the image forming device, quantitative toner detection means 40 for detecting a quantity of the toner of the transferred toner image are arranged in positions facing the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 19, and a control part 50 is provided for calculating the resistance value of the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 19 based on a detection value obtained from the quantitative toner detection means. |
