摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect fuel in the vicinity of an ignition plug so as to accomplish lean fuel by blowing fuel to the mutually adjacent parts in valve elements of two opened intake valves and controlling fuel so that the fuel is injected in an intake stroke. SOLUTION: An intake control valve 17 is arranged in the downstream part of an intake port 7, while an injector 18 is arranged between two intake ports 7, 7. In a low load low speed operation area for an engine 1, the intake control valve 17 is fully closed, and fuel injection is carried out in a compression stroke. In this way, the fuel is injected into a cylinder, in which a tumble T is generated, without any contact with an intake valve 9, and in the terminal stage of the compression stroke, the fuel is gathered around the ignition plug 7. On the other hand, in a high load high speed operation area, the intake control valve 17 is fully opened and an intake quantity is increased, and in an intake stroke, fuel injection is carried out so that the fuel is blown to a valve element 9a in the intake valve 9, so that the fuel can be mixed with suction air efficiently.
