PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic case smoothly disengaging the hooks of a casing main body and a cap body from each other while reducing the rising quantity of an operation piece projecting from a push piece and a hinge bending quantity as the result. SOLUTION: This cosmetic case 10 forms the upper surface of an operation piece 30 provided projectingly from the rear surface of the push piece 28 to be a flat surface 30a and forms a slope 32 at a lower surface. Then at the rear side of the bottom surface of a recessed part 12b fitting the push piece 28, a projecting part 34 slide-connecting with the slope 32 is provided projectingly. In addition, a slope 36 is formed at the rear surface 16a of the cover 16. Then, after primarily disengaging the hooks 24 and 26 from each other on the slope 32, the upper end of the push piece 28 is abutted to the slope 36 to additionally push up the cover 16. Then a hard projecting piece 38 is integrally and projectingly provided from both end parts of the push piece 28, and a gapδequivalent to an indentation necessary for primarily disengaging the hooks 24 and 26 is provided between the tip part of this projecting piece 38 and the rear wall surface 12c of the recessed part 12b.
